HK-TVB's Big Investment
Zhou Jie, who once, because of "Huan Zhu Ge Ge", became an Asian Television star, is now rivaling station HK-TVB's ratings weapon. For the promotion of "Shao Nian(Young) Bao Qing Tian", TVB specifically arranged for reporters to track north to ShenZhen to interview Zhou Jie.
To the fact that he's now a TVB person, Zhou Jie has visibly changed his attitude, at least during the interview, he was much more eager than when he was promoting "Huan Zhu Ge Ge" a year ago. May be because TVB is concentrating efforts in making him famous. Not just TVB, all reporters were greatly impressed by his verbal eloquence, and his precedent-setting cooperative attitude. It seems besides being picked to be a star, he has gotten to this point with more or less his own efforts.
Busy with finishing up "Right on Target" in Beijing, he still accepted TVB's offer to promote "Shao Nian Bao Qing Tian", but it takes too long to process for a visit to Hong Kong, so he flew and drove to ShenZhen for the press conference, then at 5pm that same afternoon, hurried back to Beijing to finish filming. Just this sincere effort of travelling back and forth is highly commendable.
Although it's just a half day of promotions, he was a lot more eager than Zhao Wei who came to promote for Asian TV's "Heroine storming Tian Guan" series. He brought along 5 or 6 outfits, changing every hour or two, so the press could take a lot of different pictures. He's giving the promotion a hundred percent.
At the press conference, Zhou Jie started by complimenting on TVB's high ratings, and hoped that he could participate in some of TVB's TV series. This time around, "Shao Nian Bao Qing Tian" has a total of 50 episodes, TVB has given Zhou Jie a total of 10 weeks. Even if TVB schedules it at the worst of the golden viewing period, the audience count will still be at least over a million. So there is a reason for Zhou Jie to be so devoted to this promotional event.
