From the beginning of this year, Zhou Jie has thrown himself into the shooting of the new TV series "Young Bao Qing Tian". He plays the role of the famous, smart, and honest government officer. This drama series will complete filming at the end of March, and will start its worldwide premiere in Beijing in early April. Being the male leading actor, Zhou Jie is certainly very happy for his new work to be introduced to the world. In fact, although the story of "Bao Qing Tian" is familiar with most people, the main idea of this drama focuses on the youth of Bao Qing Tien. It emphasizes the human and passionate side of his youthful sensitivity.
Before the interview, I thought Zhou Jie might modestly say "I had always hoped that I can have this opportunity to play the role...". Instead, the first sentence he emphasized to me was: "This play is for Zhou Jie, I hope that every one of you will enjoy this series without Er Kang's image. Because these two characters are totally different from each other..." It seems that not only Er Kang has been a character, "Young Bao Qing Tian" is too.
Inevitably, people will still compare "Young Bao Qing Tian" to "Er Kang". Although these two characters are totally different, they do have one thing in common. That is, both revolves around the word "passion". Compared to the previous "Bao Qing Tian" series, which documented how Bao Zheng made his judgments when he was a government officer, this Zhou Jie's interpretation of Bao Qing Tian's student era, is similar to "X files" and to a Japanese TV series "Jin Tien Yi Shao Nian Shi Jian Bo". A perspicacious hero always has to have a beautiful girl by his side. In this play, the leading actress playing romantic scenes with Zhou Jie has been changed from Lin Xin Ru to Li Bing Bing. In most cases, the hero always saves the beauty. But in "Young Bao Qing Tian", on the contrary, the leading actress saves Bao Zheng from danger several times. The role of "Zhan Zhao" is played by eleven-year old Shi Xiao Long.
There are eight units and a total of forty episodes of "Young Bao Qing Tian", with a total investment of around twenty million dollars. This kind of suspense drama with some romance and fighting scenes should have a certain draw for the audience. No wonder both HK-TVB and Asia Television are competing to acquire the broadcasting rights for this series.
