Blanche [singing blithely]: "Say, it's only a paper moon, sailing over a cardboard sea- But it wouldn't be make-believe, if you believe in me!"

-A Streetcar Named Desire, by Tennessee Williams

Dear 雲 瀟,

I am not quite certain that the superior style of Pleasanton would agree with me, for my heart was long lost to a place known as "the City of Sin," where the aforementioned play is set. Aside from the sin, residents are often warned that the city, which was built 8ft. below the sea level, would be completely buried underneath the sea should a major hurricane, or a flood of biblical proportions if you prefer the term, hit. Shrugging off the imminent threat, residents continue their indulgence and take pleasure in drinking a cocktail called "hurricane," chanting: "If the good times won't roll-they'll float."

Jerry Jeff Walker signs well, "Just letting it roll, Let the high times carry the low. Just living my life. Easy come, Easy go." How I love that spirit!

P.S. In consequence of a business engagement, I am obliged to part with you for a few months; but I shall return with pleasure, provided that you have no objection to my trespassing on your royal yacht again. : )
Until then, Happy Valentines!
